Maria Alejandra Escalante, FRIDA
Maria Alejandra Escalante is a queer feminist from Colombia currently working at FRIDA | The Young Feminist Fund as the Climate and Environmental Justice Advocacy Officer. She has a masters in Rural Territorial Development from FLACSO Ecuador and studied Human Ecology at College of the Atlantic, USA.
Her research and activism focuses on the intersection between ecologies, sovereignties of the body-territory and participatory funding models. She loves dancing salsa, especially in queer and liberating spaces.
