We’re hiring: Director of Finance and Operations

Climate Justice Resilience Fund (CJRF) is hiring a Director of Finance and Operations.

This is a new role created as part of CJRF’s recent growth. The Director of Finance and Operations will lead the organization’s core operations, including financial planning, budgeting, contracting, and internal systems, supporting a growing international team. 

About the role

The Director of Finance and Operations will play a central role in ensuring that CJRF’s financial and operational systems are effective and well managed.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Financial planning and annual budget development

  • Financial reporting and forecasts

  • Monitoring performance against budget

  • Managing grants, proposals, contracts, and payments

  • Overseeing operational systems, including workflow, human resources, expenses, and technology

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience, including work at operational leadership level in a non-profit (charity) setting

  • Strategic thinker, who understands how planning, sequencing and processes contribute to the bigger picture

  • Strong attention to detail in financial and organizational management

  • Experience in creating or building new organisations, structures or institutions

  • Experience working in international and multicultural environments

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated commitment to addressing intersectional forms of oppression

  • Fluency in English; at least one additional language desirable

Location: Fully remote
