Rupa Mukerji, Helvetas

Rupa Mukerji is the Director of the Advisory Services department of Helvetas and is member of Helvetas’ Management Board. Helvetas is an international development organisation, founded in Switzerland and working in 30 middle and low income countries across 4 continents. Besides her management function, Rupa provides coaching and technical support to Helvetas’ climate change projects and its advocacy work. Rupa brings a combination of rich practical development experience, academic rigor and a deeply analytical mind.

She is a Lead Author of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for the ongoing 6th assessment and has contributed in a similar capacity to the 5th Assessment report which provided scientific foundation for the Paris Agreement. Rupa regularly contributes to Swiss and global media through articles, commentaries and interviews. Rupa has a background in natural sciences (zoology) and management (MBA). CJRF supports Helvetas for work on its Panii Jibon (Water is Life) project in Bangladesh.
