Amplifying the Stories of Smallholder Farmers: Strengthening Climate Journalism in Indonesia
Founded in 2016, Yayasan Media Flores Peduli (YMFP) leverages media-based advocacy and strategic partnerships to amplify grassroots voices, influence public discourse, and promote policies that favor vulnerable groups in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.
With this funding, YMFP will strengthen its capacity as a strategic connector and storyteller capable of driving change. Through its independent media platform, YMFP will lead collaborative media campaigns that produce citizen climate journalism, inspiring stories and photo essays showcasing farmers’ innovations. These stories will serve as an entry point to influence public discourse and advocate for policies that favor vulnerable smallholder farmer groups.
In a landscape that often overlooks the voices of smallholder farmers, YMFP brings together the power of storytelling, journalistic integrity, and strategic connectivity to ensure that farmers’ stories, needs, and innovations are recognized and acted upon.
